Tyler's First Birthday

We cannot believe our Big Boy is ONE!  We celebrated our favorite boy's birthday with a Sunday Football Barbeque.  Luckily, the rain held off and we were able to enjoy our yard with lots of friends and family.

We bought our very own (tiny) bounce house for the kids instead of renting one.  We love our bounce house and it has gotten a ton of use since we bought it!

My favorite time of any first birthday party is always the first taste of cake!  Tyler was a little hesitant to try the cake, but once he started, he loved it!

After football and cake, it was time for the HUGE pinata.  Lisa, Tyler's daycare provider, got us this awesome Chargers pinata.  We filled it with treats and the kids had a great time smacking it around.

Cheese!

Keira and Kyla spent a big part of the party making Keira's very own princess castle out of the boxes from our new couches.  Keira was thrilled with the end result, and has loved playing in it since!
Aunt Cyndi found some time to read books with the Birthday Boy.
Eleanor even made it out for her first party, she's only three weeks old!
Happy Birthday Baby Boy!  We love you!

Halloween Time!

We started our Halloween celebrations by heading up to Oma's Pumpkin Patch with Uncle John and Aunt Catherine.  It was a VERY warm day, but we all had a great time!
There was so much to see, Tyler loved taking it all in!
We visited the petting zoo...
Got in lots of snuggles...
and visited our favorite, the cotton seed sledding!

Uncle John even got in on the action!
Keira helped Tyler take a few rides down the hill.  He loved it!
A few weeks later, we met Jackson up at Bates Nut Farm.  After sitting in traffic for over an HOUR to get three miles, I had high hopes for the place.  We had a good time, but... I think we'll skip the Saturday trip next year.  We grabbed some lunch and started having fun!

Mmmmm, pizza!

Jason, Keira and Jackson got in line to take a pony ride while Tyler, a VERY pregnant Laura, and I took a break in the shade.

Keira loves riding the ponies!
Then, it was time to pick our pumpkins and take some pictures!

Finally, balloons and one last treat, and it was time to go.  We were all ready for Halloween!
The night before Halloween, we carved our pumpkins!  Keira loved carving out the pumpkin "guts".
Then, Keira drew in her face,
and Daddy helped her carve it out.
Boo!
On Halloween day, Keira was so excited to wear her costume to school for her Halloween parade.  She was a beautiful Rapunzel and shocked me by wearing her wig the entire night!
We headed back to trick or treat with our big kid friends and we all had a great time!
Look at our cute Dragon and Princess!

After dinner and pictures, it was time for trick or treating!  The street where we trick or treat is amazing!  The neighbors go all out decorating their lawns and there are hundreds of kids walking around in amazing costumes!
